CPAC BUDGET

Picture

Carisbrooke Parents and the surrounding community are exceptionally generous with their donations to the school.
Throughout the years CPAC has managed to undertake a number of significant projects aimed to enhance your child's overall learning experience.
Our annual projects are identified through discussions with parents, students and the School.

HOW DO WE SET THE BUDGET

The CPAC budget is compiled over a number of months with a DRAFT presented at the September CPAC meeting, and the final Budget approved at the October CPAC meeting. All parents are invited to CPAC meetings, and it is a useful opportunity to ask questions regarding both fundraising and proposed projects. The CPAC budget typically consists of five categories: fundraising, annual expenses, operating budget, teacher requests and parent requests.

Our current CPAC budget can be found in our
CPAC MEETING MINUTES.

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is undertaken every year and throughout the year.  Our largest fundraiser is Hot Lunch.  Other fundraisers include the Card Project, apple sales, spirit wear sales and other.  Funds raised in each year will go towards funding CPAC projects and activities for the following  year.

PROPOSED BUDGET

Our current school year proposed budget is usually sent out via FreshSchools in September.  This budget is then approved at the October CPAC budget approval meeting when scheduled.

OPERATING BUDGET

Annual Expenses are for activities designed to enhance your child's education experience by funding performing artists, educational lectures, library activities and additional classroom materials and activities.

CPAC Operating Budget
are costs for CPAC social events (Welcome Coffee, Teacher Appreciation Lunch, Sports Day, Coffee with the PAC, Multicultural event, Grade 7 Year end), CPAC activities (Class Directory, Committee activities, Parent Education Nights) as well as special initiatives. There are also two special funds (Special Request Fund and Compassionate Fund) allocated at the discretion of the PAC through a confidential discussion with the Principal, to assist students and families under individual circumstances.

Teachers Requests are items identified by the Teachers and recommended to the PAC.

Parent Requests are items identified by parents and recommended to the PAC.
