MEMORIES OF CARISBROOKE

The Memories of Carisbrooke programme had its beginnings in the 2015-2016 school year.
It continued to be a very successful program in both 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 and is now entering its fourth year.

THE PROGRAM

In 2015-2016 we began a new program designed to support a wide variety of both in-house and extramural activities to enhance our children's education experience, and to be unique enough to be remembered long after they have left Carisbrooke.  We called it Memories of Carisbrooke.

A portion of our CPAC budget is dedicated to funding this program.  In order to ensure equitable distribution of the funds, categories for funding include:
  • Innovation and Leadership:  e.g technology projects, workshops, creative workshops, competitions.
  • Theatre and Music:  e.g. theatre/music productions, workshops, field trips, competitions, dance.
  • Literacy:  e.g. author presentations, workshops, field trips, competitions, books.
  • Art:  e.g. artistic programs and events, workshops/murals.
  • Science:  e.g. scientific presentations, workshops, field trips, competitions.
  • Playground/Activity:  e.g. equipment, materials, specific activity/program.

SCHOOL SONG

FOR TEACHERS

Carisbrooke School Song - The Thunderbirds
(written by the students of Carisbrooke Elementary School with assistance from Norman Foote - September 2016)
If you have a great suggestion for the Memories of Carisbrooke program and would like the PAC to consider funding it, please complete the form above.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are the Thunderbirds
Strong and powerful
We stand up for equality
And freedom for us all!

We’re loyal and reliable
We mean no harm
Our hearts are filled with joy
And we have a special charm.

We are the Thunderbirds
Strong and powerful
We stand up for equality
And freedom for us all!

We always help each other
Because we really care
Even though we are different
We’ll always do what’s fair.

(Bridge)
We spread our wings and fly high in the sky
We listen to each other and we try, try, try
So much potential no one can deny
Set our course and we fly, fly, fly!
We try, try, try!

We are the Thunderbirds
Strong and powerful
We stand up for equality
And freedom for us all!
