KNITTING & CROCHET CLUB

Picture
Picture

The Knitting & Crochet Club is a cool way to meet new friends AND learn a new craft.
It's not just a piece of fabric you are creating, it's also a fun way to learn more about math!  What could be better!

WHEN IS IT?

  • Tuesdays at 12:15p-1p in the Library, starting February 20th and running until April 24th.
  • The program will be first come first serve basis, and is open to both new and experienced knitters from Grades 1 to 7.
  • Students:  Meet in the library once you have finished your lunch!

WHAT TO BRING?

Bring your own needles and yarn.  That means two knitting needles, or one crochet needle, depending if you are knitting or crocheting.  Best to use thicker yarns (aran weight) and thicker needles (but not really thick), if you are a new knitter.

WHO CAN HELP?

We are always looking for keen knitters & crocheters - parents or grandparents - who are able to help our new and experienced knitters & crocheters.

The group meets on Tuesdays (12:15p-1p) for 4-6 weeks starting February 20th in the Library.  If you are interested in helping out (even if you cannot come very week), please contact Mrs. Knibbs at jknibbs@sd44.ca or  Camille at camille@carisbrookepac.ca.  You do not have to have a child in the activity to volunteer!

Yarn donations are always welcome and can be placed in the yarn box located just outside the library.
